I have always had this fear that my children would be eaten by Alligators. That is why I have no desire ever to live in Florida. Can you just image sending your children out to play in the back yard and looking out there to see one being eaten. It's just to much for me! Most people think I am crazy, which normally I would agree with them. Well I now have proof that my worst nightmare might be confirmed if I ever moved to Florida.......
Our neighbor "Grandpa Dan" Barkdull and his sweet wife "Grandma Norma" go to Florida for 6 weeks every year to escape the worst of winter season. They just emailed us these pictures from the patio of where they are staying. I rest my case.......

Yah, that would TOTALLY FREAK me out if i saw that in my backyard. We went to Florida a few times growing up and would stay at campgrouds. One time, there was a large aligator just 20 feet from our tent...and he hung out there on our campsite the whole time. Now that I'm older, I don't know why my mother didn't insist on a different campsite...she had four young kids around that gator...yikes!
