It's the most wonderful time of the year!

For the past 2 weeks I have been working on nothing other than Super Saturday. Cutting wood, buying supplies, and trying to get it organized. I love Super Saturday. It is one of my favorite days of the year. What could be better than seeing a bunch of smiling women working on crafts and letting thier creativity flow! This year we had something for everyone. Besides the pictures that are shown here we also did another type of card making, 72 hour kits, massages and scrubs, an aerobics class, and of course, lunch of yummy soups and breads with cheese, fruit, and veggies.

This is one that I did a couple of years ago, but we decided to do it again and it was a huge hit!

I saw this on a vinyl lettering news letter that I got via email. I don't even know how I got on the list and I really don't do that much vinyl lettering stuff, but I fell in love with this because of the quote.
This was the hardest craft to get ready for. We have run into all sorts of problems trying to get a reasonably priced picture (still haven't found one, I just printed out this one for the display). There were 44 of these ordered. We had to cut the wood for the frames and the plaque. Some people were disappointed that they had to put the frames together, which really suprised me. But it wasn't communicated that they were going to be handed a stack of wood. We were up until 2 a.m. the night before because I had made a mistake and we had to fix it so that the glass could fit into the frame. You live and learn
We did both a magnet board (again making the frame) and magnets. This is the project I really wanted, but now I have no idea where to put it. We had the people who were making this come on Friday to put the frames together and liquid nail the steel piece to the backing so that they would be dry. It does make me happy that it worked out and that people were able to finish on Saturday.
These are very cute wrap-around swimsuit coverups. Suprisingly, they are pretty easy to make and don't require much sewing.
These are fun little 2x2 cards that are great for presents or just to say thanks. I signed up for these to give to the kids' teachers for Christmas.
It was really nice because there were a lot of projects that I ended up being in charge of so I was running around with my head cut off and didn't have time to do the 2 things (cards, and 72 hour kits) that I signed up for. So the teachers of these groups did them for me! It was a tiring yet wonderful day and I was excited just to go home!

Wow, that looked like an awesome Super Saturday!! Good job!! I think it is one of the HARDEST activities to plan - I might still have post-traumatic stress from the one I planned years ago!:)

When will we ever learn? My "Wild Wednesday" is in three days and I'm still in the running around like a chicken with her head cut off stage. Yours looks like a huge success! I hope mine goes as well!
